Over the past ten years, the Golden Arches are one well-known franchise that has seen significant price increases. This list illustrates how the prices of ten McDonald’s menu items increased between 2014 and 2024.

FinanceBuzz examined menu prices for ten items that were consistently available in 2014, 2019, and 2024 using information from restaurant websites, menu price websites, and Wayback Machine-archived records.

In order to account for variations in franchise pricing, additional adjustments were made.

Below is the price increases of 10 different McDonald’s menu items according to Finance Buzz.

According to Finance Buzz, McDonald’s has been at the forefront of menu price increases over the last ten years and is by far the industry leader in the fast food sector.

McDonald’s topped the list of eateries for which Finance Buzz calculated inflation, with an average price increase of 100% across ten different menu items since 2014.

Since 2014, four of their menu items—the McDouble burger, medium fries, and Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal—have more than doubled in price.

They used to cost $5.39, but now they cost nearly $12. The price of the McChicken sandwich increased the most, nearly tripling from $1 in 2014 to $2 in 2024.
