What is circular economy & how MENA Region is approaching towards it

A model in which existing materials or products are shared, leased, repaired, refurbished, and recycled for as long as possible, such a process is called circular economy.

This process is not unlike the linear model, which follows a ‘take, make, dispose’ pattern.

This process not only lessens waste and its negative effects on the environment, but it also promotes job creation and economic expansion.

The Three main takeaways of the circular economy are:

1. In order to decrease the quantity of waste produced, products are made to be more robust, recyclable, and reusable.

2. The circular economy reduces the need for new resources by prolonging the life cycle of products through recycling, refurbishing, and repair.

3. The circular economy contributes to the improvement and restoration of ecosystems by replenishing the soil and other natural systems with vital nutrients.
