Lazeez Mayfair Comes to Duke Street: A New Chapter for Popular Lebanese Café

London, May 8, 2026 – Lazeez Mayfair is the new name for Duke Street’s Lazeez Tapas and marks an exciting new chapter for this popular, family-run Lebanese café. Following an extensive refit and rebrand, Lazeez Mayfair is opening in early May, combining the vibrant food and generous hospitality of Lebanese and Mediterranean culture in stylish, French-inspired surroundings.

The perfectly curated menu includes Lebanese favourites such as falafel, baklava and shawarma, alongside lesser-known delicacies such as kunafa, moutabbal, labneh, manakish and rakakat. Lazeez Mayfair has a new partnership with illycaffè to serve its premium Italian coffee and also offers freshly made teas and juices.

Lazeez Mayfair is in an enviable position on Duke Street, next to London’s famous department store Selfridges. The launch of Lazeez Mayfair co-ordinates with the launch of Selfridges’ 40 Duke Street, the store’s personal shopping and dining hub, whose entrance is directly opposite Lazeez Mayfair. The café will also benefit from the planned restriction of traffic on Oxford Street which is set to start at the end of summer 2026.

The stylish terrace is at the heart of the Lazeez Mayfair experience, allowing guests to feel like they’ve been transported across the channel to a chic Parisian pavement café. It is also where guests can enjoy shisha with their food and drink.

“We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of Lazeez Mayfair,” says Emilio Malik, founder and owner. “Our family has been running a café at this site since 2007 and the evolution to Lazeez Mayfair marks an exciting next chapter for our business, helmed by a new creative team.”

Giving back has always been important to Lazeez, and the café will continue to support The Marylebone Project, a women’s homelessness charity, as well as making donations to UNICEF.
