Cities With the Most Centi-Millionaires

Globally, 29,350 people have fortunes exceeding $100 million, according to estimates from New World Wealth.

Based on information gathered by Henley and Partners as of December 2023, below list indicates the top 10 cities in terms of the number of centi-millionaires.

New World Wealth tracked the wealth of more than 150,000 affluent people, confirming city locations with LinkedIn and other business platforms. Urban areas that comprise the major city and its environs are represented by some of the cities in this list.

Where Centi-Millionaires Live

The amount needed to qualify as “super-wealthy” has increased dramatically over the past ten years, from $30 million in the late 1990s to $100 million today. Over the last ten years, the number of centi-millionaires has increased by more than fifty percent.

New York is the richest state, with 744 people owning $100 million or more. With 675, the Bay Area, which includes Silicon Valley and San Francisco, comes in second.

Over the following ten years, it is anticipated that the ultra-wealthy populations of both cities will continue to increase by more than 50%. Featuring four cities, the US tops the list. Paris and London in Europe and Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Beijing in Asia are also included in the ranking.
